Venzero takes another step towards manufacturing distinction by announcing the FREQ, which is the same color and boasting a roughly similar form factor as the other Venzero PMPs we have covered before. The FREQ has a 2.4-inch screen with 260k colors. It supports video and audio playing with ID3 tagging and the MUSICMARKER feature of other Venzero PMPs. The FREQ takes its name from the integrated FM transmitter on board the player. It transmits music to your car radio or music setup at home without having to connect them with cables. It’s especially useful when your car doesn’t have a line-in connection. The FREQ will set you back $99 and should be available on the Venzero site at the end of September.
