Creative Made iPod and Plans to Kill It

Creative has had it with the iPod. Everyone knows, or most everyone who has intimate knowledge of the MP3 player and PMP industry, that the interface Apple iPods use are patented by Creative. Creative help create the portable music player monster that is the iPod and it may be in the position to kill it come 2008. Creative has been enjoyingmild success with the Zen Stone, an entry-level PMP player. The video player ZEN is a medium-range player. What’s missing is a high-end PMP that will rock the socks off portable media fans enough to take a big chunk of the iPod’s market share. That specific player is still a prototype but expect it to be touch screen and in stores come 2008.
