French gadget site GenerationMP3 is reporting a rather curious rumor. According to a source, Apple is going to introduce a new service called “The Circle.” This is apparently related to providing content to the iPod and iPhone products and is unavoidably reminiscent of Microsoft’s “Social” concept for the Zune. I’m not sure it makes sense for Apple to seem like they are ripping off, even remotely, Microsoft. With that said, it’ll be curious if Apple doesn’t take advantage of the rumored incorporation of digital radio and WiFi in its new iPod line.
