Microsoft Drops Zune Price to $199

Wed, Sep 5, 2007

Microsoft, Zune

Microsoft cheapens its Zune players, which will now start at $199. This came several hours before Apple will announce new iPod and iPhone models. The $199 price tag is officially within the territory of Chinese MP4 players. Zune may now be below the demographics range of Apple’s iPod, it also “bought” itself many more competitors from the East. Time will tell if PMPs from China are just as tough as iPod for Zune.
