Toshiba has announced the 160GB MK1626GCB and the 80GB MK8022GAA HDDs. This will no doubt give the PMP market a huge boost as each of these two new hard disks measures 1.8-inches. You can fit them in Zunes, iPods and any regular-sized PMPs. Toshiba will not be the first manufacturer of 1.8-inch 160GB hard disks. Samsung has announced theirs in July. The Toshiba HDDs spin at 3600rpm while the Samsung 160GB HDD has a spin rate of 5400rpm.
