Zune Rumors: Version 2 for October 16, Marketplace Upgraded

Although a blogger’s word may not mean much when it concerns top-secret product releases, it’s a whole different story when a claim is vaguely complemented by a development on the Zune site, specifically the Marketplace. Here’s what IWantPinkZune has to say:
“I get a lot of emails asking when the Zune 2 will be announced/released. Now let me start this my saying I’m an expert on making predictions. I can do it all day long. So here is my official prediction about when the Zune 2.0 will be released:
The Zune 2 will be released on October 16th. ”
Then today: Zune Marketplace announces 4 hours of downtime for, well, due to upgrades. Hm.
