Apple has sold one million iPhones since it released the OS X-running handset to the market on June 29. The iPhone beat iPod in market acceptability, making it over the 1 million mark in just 74 days. It took the iPod two years before it reached the million mark and went on to become one of the best-selling portable gadgets of all time. Official market report suggests the iPhone sold 270,00 in June and 240,000 in July, which means that since August 1, iPhone made up the half a million difference (490,000). How many of these came from the reduced-price iPhone? It would be interesting to know.
