Now, we know Russia and China are not the best of terms (not to re-live Jack Bauer’s heartaches), but look who’s trying to act like the United Nations (or perhaps like Bill Clinton) and make bridges between the two countries, at least tech-wise. Qumo, a portable media player designed for gaming spotted not too long ago nameless and available wholesale (really, look here), has found a distributor in the former Red State. It’s now dubbed, priced and ready for the Russian PMP market. Now, we have no idea what Qumo means, but we know the player has a 3-inch screen, plays movies and music, supports NES games and has a slide-out controller, which makes it look like T-Mobile’s Sidekick. The 2.0 megapixel camera on board can act as a webcam to your PC and the SD/MMC can load maps. Qumo Gamebox will be available for Russians at the end of September for $137 with 2GB pre-loaded.
