SanDisk’s Sansa View made a dramatic intro today. The new player isn’t the Sansa View we saw at CeBit. It wasn’t the same player that SanDisk put on the back burner three months ago. The new Sansa View had gone back to the drawing board and returned to the limelight slim and feeling like it’s going to kill some iPod. It houses 16GB of flash memory and would only cost consumers $199. Remember that the fat and squarish version had an estimated MSRP of $299. The new Sansa View looks like an altogether different concept: 2.4-inch screen instead of the original 4 inches and a redesigned control pad besides the altered of form factor. It’s probably a good idea to make future SanDisk players to take their design inspiration from Sansa Connect for the iconic factor.
