The new iPod Nano (now with video) is already on its first firmware update codenamed “Irvine.” It goes virtually unannounced, hence the codename and weighing all of 57MB. This update v. 1.0.1 fixed a few bugs. We were hoping to have a sped up version of Cover Flow, but what the hey all it takes is one click.
Update: It appears Cover Flow is faster after the v 1.0.1 firmware iPod Nano update. The iPod Classic Cover Flow benefitted as well from the update.
Editors retraction apology: Being a non-iPod user, I mistook the name of the “iPod” for the codename of the firmware update. Sorry guys.
