Palm and MobiTV hold Mobile Comedy Film Festival

Filmmakers, get your cameras ready. Palm and MobiTV just announced the Treo Mobile Comedy Film Festiva, which will run from September 18 to October 18 on the MobiTV service. All Treo smart phone users get a free one-month trial of MobiTV. It’s likely that Palm will make movie-friendly Treos in the future, though.
Each film must be 60 seconds (or less) long but you can submit a film on any topic. Selected winners get a free trip to LA attend the awards show at the Grauman’s Chinese Theater, plus US $1,200 worth of Treo products. The Best of Festival winner (regardless of category) shall win $5,000.
The following categories will also win $2000 prizes:
This Mobile Life: Mobile Romance, Mobile Manners - the lighter side of life as a mobile warrior
Retake - rewrite the ending of a famous movie or make your own version out of a scene from TV. You can also parody a film, TV show, or commerical
Animation - make your own made-for-mobile comedy animated short on any topic
The awards show will be hosted by Susie Essman (Curb Your Enthusiasm) and John Henson (TV Guide Network, Talk Soup) on October 18. All films must be submitted by September 24, so start smoking whatever it is you smoke to get your creative juices running! Contestants must be 18 years old or above.
