Once you move past the whole iPhone-clone thing, it becomes evident that the d718i from DigitalRise actually manages to better the Apple product in a few areas. The device is a tri-band GSM phone that comes with a 3.5-inch TFT touchscreen display that can show up to 260,000 colors. It plays MPEG-4 and 3GP video files in full-screen mode, and handles MP3s without breaking a sweat.
The device is equipped with a 2MP camera that has auto focus and video-recording capability. It can also record audio in WAV and AMR formats. For wireless connection, Bluetooth 2.0, WAP and GPRS are available. While the phone only comes with 256MB of memory, you can slip in TransFlash cards up to 2GB in capacity.
The d718i has three built-in games, and a host of useful software: calendar, to do list, alarm, world clock, calculator, unit and currency converter, and pedometer. Best of all, it comes unlocked, so you won’t have to do any tricky software things just to get your real SIM to work on it. Interested? It’s available now for $168.99.

” i just got my White D718i. This phone is very pretty for anyone.Very chick and desireble - my friends all want one. The D718i iphone, is a bargain”

@ Johnny, this D718i iphone is GSM and Verizon is on the CDMA network. This phone is GSM 900/1800/1900 network. Which means, this is not compatible with Verizon’s service. Sorry.

I’ve heard that the Verizon world phones use a SIM card so if you can grab one of those cards it might work. I don’t have the phone so I can’t be sure. That’s the gamble you take buying these knockoff phones with no support web site, just relying on blogs and seller websites…

Hello, the D99i clone is now available. It is sleeker than the iphone and clones, and has a motion-sensored play list - just shake the phone or turn it up side down to seamlessly shuffle through the playlist… finally something more original than the ipod guys and china clone companies!

Does this phone work with two sim cards from different operators or support phone numbers from different operators.
Does this phone have an icon on the screen to choose which network/operator you desire.
Can this phone make calls to two separate networks.
November 21st, 2007 at 8:57 am
the D718i has dual sim slots.. you need to manually switch between cards using input via stylus…
The phone is tri-band and will automatically search for the network.. can manually search as well…
Basically, the D718i has upgraded components and IC chips… it has extra accessories that are quality, like leather pda case, screen cover, extra batteries, etc…
The D99i “Shake” control iphone is the real hot phone, but is only for Europe, the Uk, and Australia

Anyone know how to set the screen poweroff delay?
Mine is set at 6-7 seconds which is much too short.
Also, during a call, how do you enter a digit when requested?
