Tokyo Japan - G-Mode, a major casual gaming developer (as opposed to a serious gaming developer) has joined forces with Nokia (the deviser of the N-Gage platform and the world’s leading handset maker) to develop multiplayer games than can be played on cell phones. Nokia’s SNAP Mobile concentrates on JAVA games and games you can play using wireless connection. The first game to come out of the partnership is chess. Chess a Moment can be played by up to 8 players and each player has a grace period of up to 30 hours before making a move. Chess a Moment will soon be available to select Nokia phones.
