Verizon: LG Chocolate in the Real iPhone Killer
23 09 2007Very interesting news from Verizon. AT&T’s biggest competitor in the US wireless market is reporting sales figures of its LG Chocolate phone that almost matches iPhone sales. Verizon reveals that it has sold 3.4 million units of the one-year-old MP3 phone this year or about 850,000 units in the third quarter. The figure is comparable with iPhone’s third quarter sales, although still anemic compared to the total sales iPhone will make before the end of 2007 and that’s just for the 6 months iPhone has been in the market. Still, the fact that LG’s original Chocolate phone has sold 850,000 units while iPhone is already on the market is worth noting.
