An angry New Yorker named Dongmei Li decided to sue Apple for $1 million in damages because of the $200 iPhone price cut. Li says that Apple broke several laws when it cut off one-third of the iPhone’s price. In case you don’t remember, Apple dropped the 8GB iPhone’s price early this September and discontinued the 4GB model. Apple CEO Steve Jobs apologized to the customers and offered the early buyers a $100 rebate.
According to Li, AT&T, Apple, and Steve Jobs are committing price discrimination, discrimination in offering rebates versus credit, unfair and deceptive practices, and underselling. She filed the case in the New York Federal Court, saying that the early purchasers were harmed since they can’t resell their iPhones for the same price as those who bought their units later. Li is an owner of the 4GB model and accused iPhone of dropping that model while locking customers into a two-year deal with AT&T. Apple and AT&T have yet to release their response to Li’s lawsuit.
Wow. Angry much?

hehehehe…… this makes me feel good that i didn’t get an iphone- the people who bought it should have realised like me that the iphone hype would end and then malfunctions would show up….. remember the black screen dots people?
and now Steve Jobs is locking up the iphone as much as he can! ah well thats too be expected from the front he has used in the previous generations of ipods he sold.
the good thing is that now people will buy alternative pmp’s!
