Nokia wants users to download videos directly to sites and by-pass these pesky wireless providers that just steal you blond. In an agreement with Sony Pictures and CNN, Nokia will put links to websites that allow users with WiFi direct video access. Some current N95’s may already come with links to these online content providers. Nokia’s plan is to save users money by completely by-passing wireless providers. CNN will begin by providing their link to Nokia owners in Asia Pacific. The rest of the world will follow. Sony Corp hasn’t made a statement yet. Sony and CNN will boost Nokia’s current list of content providers like already includes IBN Live of India, ROK TV of London and Rooftop Comedy. Nokia will also announce additions to its Video Center later during the MIPCOM conference.
Nokia’s Video Center provides an easy way for users to view video content on a multimedia phone. Nokia announcing new additiosns to its Video Center is in itself significant news in the multimedia phone market. Read on for the video.
