It’s been a year since Sharp announced the release of their SP700 PMP, which was especially designed for students who need a decent list of codecs all in one gadget. The SP700 supports DiV X, mpeg1/2/4, MP3, WAV, WMA, WMV7/8/9 and H.264. Besides this, it also has a T-DMB television receivor and an entire set of electronic dictionaries. This device is powered by Windows CE 5.0, has SD/MMC expansion, and USB host facilities so you can transfer those papers and other important documents without having to use a PC. The price isn’t particularly student-friendly at $521, but perhaps if you bring home A’s before Christmas your parents won’t mind giving you this one.
