Sandisk just launched the Sansa TakeTV video player, a revolutionary solution especially designed to bring downloaded videos from your computer to your TV. The launch of this product coincides with the release of their new beta service called Fanfare, an online distribution platform where SanDisk provides videos which you can download to your PC.

The TakeTV device makes use of flash memory. All you have to do is plug the USB into the computer and download video content to it. Once the download is done, you can put the device on a cradle connected through A/V connections to a TV. TakeTV supports playback of DivX, XVID, and MPEG-4 and can connect to your TV through an analog stereo, composite video, and S-Video. It works with Windows, Mac, and Linux and transfers data to your PC with a USB 1.1 or 2.0 connection.

You can grab a TakeTV video player for $99 for the 4GB model, or $149.99 for the 8GB model. The 8GB model can hold up to 10 hours of MPEG-4 1.5Mbps video at 720×480, along with 128-Kbps audio.
