Second-Generation iPhone to Hit March 2008?

Ben Reitzes of UBS is pretty sure there will be a new iPhone before Spring 2008, arond March that is. He is confident his contacts at the iPhone supply chain is accurate and that a new iPhone will hit the streets in March. I wonder why the USB analyst is certain it will be iPhone 2G, not the Newton 2G or maybe even an iPod with Internet calling.
