Nokia Music Store Goes Live!
1 11 2007The Nokia Music Store service is now available in the Nokia N81, which recently shipped, and N95 phones. It’s important to note that being the leader of the mobile world, Nokia has let in Microsoft, the world’s software leader, into the new service using its DRM software. Songs can be downloaded using your PC running either XP or Vista and the IE 6 web broswer. No Firefox support yet. Price is 80p per song and £8 per album. As I am using a Mac right now, I cannot yet use Internet Explorer 6 (IE 5.2.3 s the latest version for Mac) and can tell you nothing about the store’s web site. Tech Digest, however, has been to the site and admires the easy and intuitive user interface. Pricing will also help the Nokia Music Store as it sells songs at a lower price than iTunes.
