iPhone Firmware 1.1.2 on O2 iPhone

o2-uk-iphone.jpg

O2 of UK will be launching the iPhone on November 9 with a sweet surprise for iPhone unlockers: a pre-loaded iPhone firmware version 1.1.2. It’s definitely a new iPhone. For starters, it’s got support for dozens of languages. If you’re French or German, you are fully supported by the UK iPhone with your own version of the iPhone virtual keyboard. There’s free WiFi for O2 iPhone customers with Cloud WiFi. That’s a lot of savings for an overpriced iPhone. What is readily apparent is that Apple seems to be gaining ground on the race against the unlockers.

Thats not firmware 1.1.2. That is a jailbroken 1.1.1. That “widget” is the Installer.app. NBC and Apple arent getting along I see a correlation

We see comedian Fred Armisen talking about how he uses his iPhone to hide a French Canadian girl he’s seeing “on the side” from his wife. The skit is brilliant, but what’s even more interesting is that Fred Armisen’s iPhone user interface shows a couple of anomalies. First, it’s that blue widget on the bottom right. What is that. Also, the YouTube app seems misplaced. So is this iPhone version 1.1.2? [...]
