Zune 2 Sold Without OS

Microsoft, Zune

A guy in St. Louis may be the first person to have bought a Zune 2. This could be big news but the Zune won’t work, not until he can load the new firmware on Tuesday. That didn’t stop him from posting a review on ZuneRama, however.

Ok, there is not much to say about the 8GB flash Zune, except that it seems to be a solid contender quality wise. The Squircle has a nice feel and response, although the iPod circular motion is maybe a bit nicer. The combo d-pad/touch sensitive action is responsive and it’s tactile feedback is good.

The Zune 2 is an 8GB flash player and actually looks photogenic even in a picture taken with a poor-quality camera.
