There is something majestic about the simple design of the Nokia N82. I used to think the phone was a little on the fugly side, based on a couple of unofficial spy photos. The press photos, however, prove me wrong. The Nokia N82 looks to be an all-metal number. Up front, you’ll notice the Sony Ericsson keypad and the big 2.4-inch QVGA screen, which automatically adjusts for horizontal viewing. This phone has WiFi (802.11 b/g), UPnP, HSDPA, A-GPS, Bluetooth A2DP. What’s truly interesting about the N82 is what’s behind it. With a 5 megapixel Carl Zeiss with autofocus and 20x digital zoom and a real Xenon flash. The only thing better is real optical zoom, but, then, you’ll have a very bulky phone bulging in your pocket.

Having seen the N82 in person I can vouch for its glory. Its ability to take pictures in low light settings is truly remarkable, and it seems much more responsive than the N95. A nice upgrade for all candybar lovers!
