The company is called ECNokia. The product, an MP4 player (we call it PMP here) with the form factor of iPod Nano 3G with a bigger 2.4-inch screen and an additional 1.3 megapixel camera. Sounds like a much better deal than Apple’s PMP, especially when the product photo suggest a split-screen user interface similar to iPod Nano, which gets even better because this Nano clone has a touch screen, perhaps to make full use of the split-screen UI. So there you are folks: an iPod Nano with 1.3 MP camera and bigger screen, which you can navigate using your fingers. wonder if this ECNokia Nano has cover flow. It’s available wholesale at cheap Chinese prices.
Specs:
- MP3/WMA/WAV/MIDI for audio
- MPEG-4 of ASF format for video
- FM tuner, audio recorder (mic)
- SD/MMC cards up to 2GB
- 1.3 MP camera has video recording
- 90 x 60 x 3.5mm (Need I point out 3.5mm is amazingly thin?)

[...] The new iPod Nano may be an excellent redesign on Apple’s part, but ECNokia thinks they can do even better (after…err…borrowing Apple’s design). They’ve added an FM tuner, microphone, 1.3MP camera and (.5″ larger) touchscreen to the Nano, while swapping out the built-in flash memory for a budget-friendly SD slot. From what we can tell, for now it’s being offered to wholesalers only. But look for the ECNano (our name) on shady store shelves soon. [product via pmptoday] [...]
