Pasen was the first company that we’ve heard of to use the iTouch name for an available product. We’ve also heard that Apple has given them a lot of grief about it, but apparently their travails are history because they have just launched a new player using the same name. They are not calling it iTouch II but iTouch SE. The design is drastically different. Screen size remains at 2.83 inches and resolution is still QVGA with 260k color support. They’ve taken away the three metallic buttons below and replaced it with a dimple (we are not sure what it is for but we suspect it works like the iPhone’s back button). This iTouch already includes Microsoft’s PlayFX and the usual FM tuner, external speaker, USB 2.0 and Transflash card slot. Format support is pretty good as per usual: AVI, XviD, DivX, MP3, WMA, APE, FLAC, JPEG, BMP, TXT. Form factor is a none too remarkable 96 x 55 x 12.5 mm and weighing 85g.
