Another phone from China is tempting us to go berserk on the megapixels this holiday season. Lensas F2218 looks like a more legit high-megapixel cam phone than the 12 megapixel wonder we featured four days ago. The 8 MP CCD sensor guarantees 3264×2448 pixel resolution photos. For samples of the quality of the lens, read the rest of this post after the links below. Other features include a Xenon flash, Nightscape and video capture. The software was designed to make full use of the camera feature and the hardware itself has a solid design. No word from Lensas on the price of the F2218 yet or availability.

Don’t waste your money on this phone. The longer you own it the less it works. Mine no longer holds the signal, it turns off randomly. The ear phone connection is defective. I have contacted the company on a number of occasions and have not had one reply so am unable to get it fixed under warranty. Granted it takes great pictures but you can buy a camera for cheaper that does that, it is not point having a camera phone that doesn’t work as a phone.
