New Nokia Slider Patents Give Us 6 or 8 Megapixels

A little dubious about what the Chinese are offering in the megapixel category? Well, the world’s biggest handset manufacturer comes to the rescue with a couple of recent patents for slider phones possessing a 6 or an 8 megapixel (Carl Zeiss optics) lens. One of the sliders slide up to reveal the keypad and the lens simultaneously. The ther one is a rotating camera with a retractable flash. The problem is it’s not confirmed whether the cameras will sport 6 or 8 megapixels. Whether it’s the higher or lower megapixel we applaud Nokia for one of the best phone patents we’ve seen in a while.
