Santek from China spells smart as “samrt” but its obvious their HTC Touch Clone, which runs on Windows Mobile 5, is a “smart phone.” The original HTC Touch runs Widows Mobile 6, so the SSG730 is a step down the ladder. It isn’t the first HTC Touch clone we covered but this one is not just a media player but also a working GSM phone. This clone baby also sports goodies like a 2 megapixel camera Bluetooth, SirF III GPS, WiFi (optional) and a fingerprint reader, making it just a touch different from HTC’s phone. The user interface is unique, using a Nanoesque split screen. Does it also have TouchFlo? Buy a thousand units and find out.
Read on for a side-by-side comparison of the Santek SSG 730 and the HTC Touch.
