We’ve already told you enough about Google’s interest in the 700MHz spectrum that will be on auction in January of next year. Now we’ll tell you who are the other players.
From Engadget:
- AT&T; T-Mobile says it already has plenty.
- Cox Communications; Time Warner and Comcast aren’t biting.
- Frontline; gunning for the D block.
- Google; might just do the minimum to ensure the C block is “open.”
- Verizon; Sprint is busy with WiMAX.
The auction will commence January 24th. More players are expected to bid, but the FCC will only receive them in a blind submission. Unless these unknown entities announce their entry, we’ll only know their identities when the results come in.
