Tomato D-18 is Only 8.5mm
10 12 2007What’s unbelievable about Tomato’s new device is not that it is 8.5mm thin, which is almost unbelievable, but what truly boggle the mind is that it uses a 1.8-inch Seagate HD with 60GB of storage capacity. Now, that is mind-boggling. The Korean manufacturer has come up with a very stylish device here encased in brush aluminum with pretty engravings in the corenr. The only problem is, we’re not seeing the screen anywhere in any of the photos at the PlayTomato site. Turns out the D18. Charges and syncs via USB.
Price: 99,000 Won ($107). Available in silver, black, blue, pink, orange, chartreuse. Withyummy colors like these, we can’t blame some sites mistaking the D18 for a media player.

Okay, i am confused… no screen, number 1…
Number 2? To-mato or Tomatoe? not sure if naming another brand after a fruit is a good idea… apple was created by hippies… we are past that time… something like “Skull” PMP players would be hot…

THOMAS, I think it’s just an external storage. We’ll be looking into translating the Korean site. Also, we’ve message them in English. We’ll see.
