Taipower is up to something big in the media player industry. Though we’ve never heard of this manufacturer before, unless it’s the same manufacturer we call Teclast here in the West, it has managed to captivate us in no small way thru a grainy leaked photo of its upcoming M25 payer. The Rockchip RK2706 chip inside the M25 needs some explaining, Basically it’s one of the best Rockchip processor to be had in China and coupled with a WOLFSON WM8987G audio codec chip, users are assured of nothing less than a mind-blowing audio experience. The M25 also supports a self-orienting screen that Apple iPhone owners are familiar with.
The Taipower M25 boasts a 2.4-inch QVGA screen and measures 82 65 x 15mm. There is no price, date availability or battery information yet, but we know it plays RM, RMVB, FLV, AVI and MP3, WMA, APE, FLAC. We’ll keep you updated for any more information regarding the M25 when we get it (we’re usually pretty good when it comes to the latest MP4/PMP models from China).

[...] We told you about Teclast getting ready to announce an interesting new player dubbed the M25, and we weren’t wrong about it being interesting. The info we had stated that despite its good looks the M25 suffers in the slimness department measuring 15mm on profile. Well, that was way off, coz this device is actually a pretty thin 7.9mm. It’s no touchscreen PMP, but UI seems pretty rad coupled with the new “rotation” control, knocking off iTunes slightly. It comes in black and white versions with PlayFX sound enhancement. No idea about the price, but given the 599 yuan price point of the M30, it shouldn’t fetch more than $100. [...]
