Butterfly PMP From China
14 12 2007We’ve been seeing a lot of interesting new products from China lately. They are not what you might call state-of-the-art. In fact, they are entertaining in a way that satisfies what by poet John Keats dubbed as “negative capability.” One of these truly lyrical products is model number YG-625 from Tian Ling Electronics. It looks to me like an aluminum butterfly with buttons and an OLED screen. The internals, though, is a little unprepossessing, even for a simple MP3 player with video support. The screen is a little too small to make movie-viewing fun. It’s got an FM tuner and a voice recorder and these in themselves together with the file support would’ve made any kid happy ten years when he opens his Christmas present, but this product seems to be missing a few details like dimension, weight and battery life. What we do know and sadly report is that this baby still uses CSTN display.
- screen size: unknown
- file support: ASF, MP1, MP2, MP3, MP4, AVI, WAV, WMA, JPEG
- lyric tagging: ID3 7
- storage: 128MB / 256MB / 512MB / 1GB
- memory extension: optional
- USB 2.0
