The Patriot MP4-P882 HDD PMP is solid-looking inside and out and this might be its downfall. Its 29.9mm thickness aside, the 4.3-inch touch screen with a 16:9 aspect ratio is on the yummy side. It uses the famous ARM 11 Da Vinci chip and plays VGA quality movies and a host of video files: AVI, Divx, WMV, MP4, RM, RMVB and Flash animation. You’d get a whole lot of memory to fill with videos as the P882 has 80GB built-in. Price is 3,999 yuan ($541).Wish it didn’t cost a bundle. I would’ve forgiven its 30mm profile if it weren’t so pricey.
