I bought this for a few months now. It plays flv from youtube, (not some from tudou.com), tvrip divx/xvid/rmvb well. it skips a lot when the picture is changing rapidly but the sound is not skipping so at least you know what's going on. 640x480 avc stuff I made for the PSP doesnt work, it's more like a slidshow. guess psp hardware acceleration for avc is more advanced.

the build is okay, the front is flat and all plastic so it catches a lot of fingerprints. the menu does include english, there are custom firmware which changes the font but I haven't tried it out. basically the firmware format is hacked now.

the buttons are stiff so it's not very good at playing the only 4 lame games included. mp3 sound quality isnt perfect but tolerable. not much function allowed on picture viewing but it does its job, with slideview function it's more like a 3" photoframe.

battery life is good, I use it occassionally so it can last for weeks.

2G MSRP 399RMB, street price might be as low as 349RMB, 4G is 499RMB, the internal memory is slower than my mini-SD card (micro-SD with adapter) so I'd rather use my own cards.

<!--%kramer-ref-pre%-->[...] Ainol V2000 SE-Core Does RM Cheap We’ve met this iPod Touch lookalike before, and we were impressed at how Ainol has produced a pretty player with just a hint of Apple’s design and sell it at a very low price. Ainol’s new cored-up V2000 PMP is even cheaper. With a processing speed of 400MHz, which is good enough even for many PDAs, the V200 rocks all the popular video formats (AVI/FLV/DAT/ASF/MP4/WMV/3GP/MPG) including RMVB. The 3.0-inch QVGA screen supporting 16 million colors will definitely not go to waste on some esoteric video format. We’re assuming it continue to supports MP3, AME, APE and Flac audio files. There’s a USB 2.0 and 2GB of storage. From 499 yuan, you can now buy the Ainol V200 for 399 yuan ($54).(Via PMP Today.) [...]<!--%kramer-ref-post%-->
