The ID8620CC from Natural Sound Enterprise gets its design right, sporting a front free from buttons (which are located on the top or sides, no doubt). Hey, it may not be a touch-sensitive screen, but it does look kinda pretty. The device is more than a little stingy on features, though, playing only AMV videos, and MP3 and WMA audio files. DRM support is optional, if that’s your thing.
A 2.8-inch TFT display, a 2MP camera and a speaker are built-in. A slot for miniSD cards and a USB 2.0 port are likewise incorporated. The ID8620CC comes with FM radio (with optional recording), gaming and voice recording capability.

Gadgets The lull before the craptacular gadget storm that is CES continues this week, but nothing will ever stop our inbox from filling up with hastily-designed and poorly-implemented gadgets. That’s right, it’s another edition of our newest running series, Crapgadget, in which tedium is lightly battered and fried to a crisp, delicious rage. Enjoy the crap out of this, okay?
