Samsung F300 Clone Uses iPod Click Wheel on One Face

China makes no bones about cloning just about every good hardware design in the market and the sleek dual-face design of the Samsung F300 and F500 multimedia phones has had to wait a little too long, we think a little undeservedly, for the ultimate flattery. Finally here comes the Shuang Mian Yi Ren V8, a genuine copy of the Samsung dual-face design but something that is a clone and also an innovation in its own right. The idea is for one side to be a phone and the other as a media center. The side with the bigger screen uses the iPod’s click wheel, which to my mind is better-looking than the original Samsung design. Too bad the makers of this clone didn’t bother giving it a unique name (notice the letters “The Ultra Music” above the bigger screen and notice the use of the unnecessary article). The V8 is a dual-band GSM phone with a 2.0 megapixel camera and microSD card slot. The bigger screen is 2.4 inches while the smaller one is 1.4 inches. Price is only $131.
