There’s news about another shiny new thing that will be demo’ed at the Consumer Electronics Association 2008 and it’s called the Epoq Nextgen. It comes with your standard PMP features: 3.0 inch TFT screen with 320×240 resolution, 4GB of internal memory, an SD slot, audio recorder, video format, and can support AVI, FLV, DAT, RMVB, JPEG, GIF, BMP, MP3, and WMA files. I’m a bit wary about it though because I don’t see MPEG4 or DIVX on the list of supported formats. And for $250 bucks a pop, it doesn’t look like it’s worth it.

Epoq is marketing chinese made products that are just terrible. They come with very poor instructions and the device I got sis not work at all due to differences in chinese software and ours. It is terrible they are allowed to buy products at 40 or 50 dollars and market them here for two or three times more and we think we are buying a USA product.
