The GPS-288 from MTWO Technologies is, you guessed it, a portable GPS unit that happens to support MPEG-2, MPEG-4, AVI, ASF and WMV videos, MP3, WMA and WAV audio files and JPEG, BMP, GIF and PNG images. The device incorporates a SiRF III module and an ARM9 core Samsung processor (400MHz standard, but the 300MHz version is also available). 64MB of SDRAM and 64MB of NAND flash memory (upgradable to 1GB) are included.
The GPS-288 has a 2.8-inch touchscreen TFT LCD with a 480×272-pixel resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio. The standard OS is Windows CE 4.2, but you can opt for the 5.0 version. E-book reader functionality is built-in, as are Bluetooth handsfree capability, a speaker, a slot for SD cards up to 2GB and a USB 2.0 port. Dimensions are 115×82x22mm and weight is 270g.
