Most-Imitated China PMP Back for Another Round

oie_bmorn.jpg

Shenzhen Bmorn’s BM861 doesn’t do much to stand out from the crowd, large speaker (which takes up the entire top of the front part) aside. Well, it does spell out the control functions instead of using the universal symbols for them, which is pretty unique (if not actually pretty) as well. It supports MPEG-4 videos (up to 30fps), JPEG images and a whole bunch of (unspecified) audio files with 3D sound effects and lyric display.

The device is equipped with a 2.4-inch TFT screen with a QVGA resolution, a Rockchip 2608A solution and seven EQ settings. E-book reader, FM radio and voice recording capability are included, and a USB 2.0 port and a slot for microSD cards is built-in. Internal memory comes in 256MB, 512MB, 1GB, 2GB and 4GB versions, all flash.

Now, if you think the design is a little too familiar, we’ve come across some products in the past that were apparently made from the same mold, literally. Click here for a little tour of the other devices that obviously share the same genetic code.
