Nokia Nseries and Eseries to Collide in One Phone

Looks like the ultimate convergence is at hand at the Nokia camp. Sources inside Nokia are blowing the whistle on a major Nokia experiment that would bring the QWERTY keyboard of the Eseries phones together with the multimedia features of the Nseries. The resulting phone will be running S60 3rd Edition FP2 and will have a flat and thin design similar to Eseries phones. That doesn’t sound interesting enough, frankly, but a phone with a QWERTY keyboard, 5 or 6 megapixel camera, 30fps video playing capability and GPS is something to look forward to in Q2 or Q3 2008.
