Tsinghua Tongfang’s LimePC at CES

We’ve been covering gadgets from Chinese manufacturer Tsinghua Tongfang even before anybody has heard of the name. We feel vindicated of all our efforts when the company revealed its totally delicious LimePC at CES 2008. The LimePC’s come in multiple sizes. In the picture above are the UMPC, HandheldPC, and PalmPC. All three devices have these in common: touchscreen, mobileGT core processor from Freescale, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR and WiFi.

You have a choice of 8GB and 16GB versions of the Palm PC and UMPC. The UMPC is n HDD device that can take from 30GB to 100GB hard drives. The software is Linux-based but so far none runs the finished user interface. We’ll definitely watch out for these babies.
