Running on Intel’s Menlow platform, Yukyung Technologies‘ sliding Viliv UMPC has a 1.86GHz processor, 512MB of DDR2 RAM and either a 30GB or 60GB HDD. It comes with a WSVGA display, GPS (through a SiRF Star III chipset), Bluetooth, a webcam and a fingerprint scanner. Yes, that is a QWERTY keyboard attached. The OS of choice is Windows Vista or Embedded XP, or Linux.
WAN (HSDPA, WiBRO, WiMAX) capability is optional. The 560g device is expected to be launched in Q3 2008, and go for between $700 and $800.
The Viliv UMPC U5 has pretty much the same features and pricetag as its sister model. In this one, though, the QWERTY keyboard is split in two, similar to previously seen devices of the same type. The U5 also has a 4.8-inch WSVGA touchscreen display that shows up to 16 million colors.
