MacWorld 2008: the MacBook Air Rumors are true. Steve Jobs introduced the big news during the latter part of his MacWorld Keynote: MacBook Air is the world’s thinnest notebook at .76 inches at the thick end and .16 inches on the thin end. The keyboard “is the best we’ve ever shipped, and it’s full-sized. And it’s backlit.” LED backlit display, 1.6 GHz Core 2 Duo processor (1.8GHz upgradable), multi-touch trackpad, 64GB SSD drive optional. And oh, instead of 1GB, the MacBook Air comes with 2GB of RAM standard.
