Rogers Canada to Face-Off Apple iPhone and Nokia N95

Rogers Communications may soon offer the N95 and iPhone together for its Canadian customers. two separate rumors suggest that the ywo competing handsets from Nokia and Apple will drop on Canada’s biggest wireless company and its only GSM.

According to RBC Capital Markets analyst Mike Abramsky, “There’s a very good chance that Apple will announce or discuss some kind of other carrier roll-outs, beyond the ones it has done in Europe and the U.S.” and adds that “There is definitely very strong demand and interest here.” The announcement will probably be made during MacWorld.

Meanwhile, someone has found the N95 in a drop-down menu at the Games Download section of Rogers web site (go to this link and find “get games” on the left side).

The Nokia N95 has similar web surfing capabilities as the iPhone but offers a 5 megapixel camera against the iPhone’s 2 megapixel lens. The N95 is also 3G capable with added HSDPA as well as GPS. The iPhone has a multi-touch screen and has become since it launch the most wanted handset model in the world selling almost 5 million units.
