The new firmware 1.1.3 for both the iPhone and the iPod are causing OS X instability. There are some who have reported the iPhone being inoperable after the user has downloaded and applied the new firmware. Yes, iPhone being bricked by 1.1.3. The iPhine “bricking” seem to be a minority occurrence.

Here are the more problems being reported:

  1. Cannot install iTunes 7.6. Error message
  2. Sound missing from iPhone speakers
  3. Bluetooth accessories no longer compatible
  4. Mail fails to download

There are some quick fixes recommended but most are trial and error. For more details click here.
