BenQ DSC X800 is a slim PMP/digital camera
21 01 2008
Here’s something sweet to look out for in the first quarter of 2008 - a 9.8mm-thin, 8-megapixel digital camera/PMP from BenQ. The DSC X800’s prism-type lens is designed in such a way that all its movement occurs in the camera’s body, making it stay really slim even when you use its 3x optical zoom. It can also do macro shots from a centimeter away. As a portable media player, it doesn’t seem to do much - you can use the BenQ DSC X800 to view MPEG-4 videos or listen to MP3 files. Still, an ultraslim camera is always great to have; just think of the MPEG-4 support as an awesome bonus. The BenQ DSC X800 only comes with 12MB built-in memory but it has a MicroSD card compatible up to 4G SDHC. No word on pricing yet, but you can get it in either midnight-black or vixen-red.
