It’s been a while since we last saw a Game Boy Micro knockoff, so if you’ve been feeling a little bereft as a result, have a look at the ingeniously named GAMEMP4 from Uptek International. It supports AVI videos (and converts other types to this format), MP1, MP2, MP3, WMA, WAV, ADPCM and AMR audio files, and JPEG, GIF and BMP images.
The device incorporates an ARM processor that allows playing of 8-bit FC/NES and GB/GBC, and 16-bit Sega games. Interestingly, the company promises future support for Java, flash and GBA games as well. The GAMEMP4 also comes with a 2.5-inch LTPS TFT display, an SD card slot and voice recording capability.
