It’s not just Toys R Us offering a $179.99 Zune 8GB, it’s everybody. Gizmodo has confirmed the price reduction for Zune 8 in all colors in the following stores: Amazon, Buy.com, Best Buy and Circuit City. It’s as official as it gets without a formal announcement from Microsoft. Why? Is Microsoft tentative about this Zune price cut? Is the Zune 4GB next. It’s only a $30 difference between a 4GB and an 8GB Zune. My opinion? Apple phased out the 4GB iPhone and now it’s the Microsoft’s turn to give the flash Zune the same treatment.
