iPhone and iPod Touch Price Cut Imminent?
11 02 2008Apple may cut iPod Touch and iPhone prices again as early as the end of this month. After February we may see 16GB iPhones and 32GB iPod Touches cut by $100 to make room for iPhone SDK and even a 3G iPhone. The 8GB iPod Touch may be stop production altogether.
Presumably, it makes sense for Apple not to release a more expensive 3G iPhone or add a premium on iPhone SDK like they did with iPod Touch Maps, etc. A price cut even makes more sense amidst the somewhat disappointing iPhone sales. Apple selling less than the anticipated 5 million units by January and an obvious decline with the dissipating iPhone hype can only mean that bargain hunters are not getting into the iPhone action. Right? If this new set of price cuts also comes with a refund.
