Toshiba Releases 3 New Portable DVD Players

In this age of Wi-Fi downloads (like Apple and Archos], some people out there are still buying portable DVD players that are over a kilo each. Toshiba has three new models for these people. The largest is a 9-inch screen monster measuring 267 x 167 x 34mm when folded and weighing 1.2kg. It has a 1SEG (OneSeg) TV tuner. The 7-inch model is available with 1SEG tuner and without one. The models go by serial numbers reflecting the screen size and availability of 1SEG: SD-P91DT, SD-P71DT and SD-P71S (without 1SEG). Price is unannounced but Akihabaranews thinks it’s around 350 euros.
